‘An Entrepreneurs View’ event by Biztech.
The event was part of the Biztech series of events – ‘Navigating the Digital Economy’, put together by Paul Clarke the Skills Hub MK’s Digital Training lead.
Read MoreThe Biztech Technology Hub is a not-for-profit organisation – its mission is to build a Digital Network across Milton Keynes and help it to become recognised as a leading entrepreneurially-based, go-to hub for digital expertise.
The Network brings businesses together – to hear from the growing number of specialists and experts who live and work within MK and connect with local education providers such as the Institute of Technology (IOT), the OU, MK College, and the future MK University.
Technology businesses and start-ups are being attracted to the City, thanks to the area’s reputation as a standout area of digital expertise. In addition to this, local employers want to attract the next generation of technologists emerging from Schools, Colleges and Universities into the workplace.
Based on SME inputs via Training Needs Assessment (TNA) questionnaires, and a curriculum of bite-sized workshops, the SkillsHub:MK will get to the heart of employer requirements for digital and data skills.
These include Digital Marketing, digital tools and data applications, digital strategy and data strategy.
By getting to the heart of these questions we want businesses to be much better able to connect their own business requirements with learning opportunities on offer, help build curricula for new learning ideas and opportunities going forward and continue to invest in training and education for all their staff.
Over and above the digital workshops our events are designed to help businesses answer a fundamental question – ‘how to use digital and data technology for business growth?’.
Learn through short, bite-sized modules that fit into a busy work schedule, sharing experience and knowledge and hearing about best practice.
To allow employers to guide the development of future talent. This will define how the skills system can meet employers’ future needs.
Many businesses find questions about their digital skill requirements going forward very hard to answer. Digital technology is moving so fast, they don’t know enough to be able to say.
By registering you will be opting in to join our current Networks that span Leadership and Management and Digital capabilities.
